Calling all Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, and CTE Educators! Facilitated by BABEC, this three-day intensive bootcamp at CSU Stanislaus is designed to empower teachers with the fundamental skills and resources needed to bring high-level biotechnology labs to their students.
Program Highlights
- Building Skills: Master the fundamental techniques required to lead biotech labs in your classroom.
- Industry Connection: Participate in an industry visit to see the Circular Bioeconomy in action within Stanislaus County.
- Curriculum Integration: Learn to incorporate NGSS-aligned biotech lessons into your existing scope and sequence.
- Collaboration: Breakfast and lunch are provided to facilitate learning and planning with colleagues.
Participant Benefits
- Stipend: Receive a $1,100 Attendance & Implementation Stipend.
- Massive Equipment Grant: Receive up to $15,500 worth of equipment to implement Biotech lessons at your school.
- Graduate Units: Earn up to 3 Graduate Units upon implementation of at least one lesson.
Eligibility & Dates
- Target Audience: Educators for Grades 8–14 in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, and CTE.
- Dates: June 3–5, 2026 (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Location: CSU Stanislaus, Turlock.
