Bioeconomy Week: Innovation & Sustainability – July 13-17

Ignited invites Stanislaus County middle and high school teachers of all subject areas to a 5-day summer learning intensive. Explore the "circular bioeconomy" and discover how biological resources drive innovation, sustainability, and local economic growth right here in our community.

Program Highlights

  • Local Industry Tours: Potential site visits include USDA, Berkeley Labs, Divert, and Tracy Renewables.
  • Classroom-Ready Ideas: Leave with practical ways to connect your curriculum to real-world careers in regenerative agriculture, biofuels, and biomanufacturing.
  • Professional Networking: Connect directly with industry professionals and fellow local educators.

Participant Benefits

  • Stipend: Earn a $1,100 stipend upon completion.
  • Credits: Earn 4 CEUs from Sacramento State.
  • Cost: No cost to apply or participate.

  • Target Audience: Middle and High School teachers (all subjects) in Stanislaus County.
