Plant Biotechnology & Data Science Boot Camp – June 1-2

Elevate your STEM curriculum at the first-ever Biotechnology and Data Science Boot Camp at California State University, Stanislaus. This hands-on workshop provides K-14 educators with laboratory experience and introductory data science training focused on regenerative agriculture and the circular bioeconomy in the Central Valley.

Program Highlights

  • Advanced Focus Areas: Plant Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genome Sequencing, and the use of AI in Data Science.
  • Classroom Implementation: All participants receive a Biotechnology Kit to replicate core activities with their students.
  • Research Collaboration: Opportunity to develop classroom-connected research projects with ongoing mentorship from Stanislaus State faculty.

Participant Benefits

  • Stipend: Receive a $500 stipend.
  • Credits: Earn 2 Credit Units (Certification through CAPE).
  • Support: Meals included, plus a registration kit with all required supplies.

Eligibility & Dates

  • Target Audience: STEM teachers in grades 8–12 and Community College instructors.
  • Priority: Given to educators from Title I schools.
  • Dates: June 1–2, 2026.
  • Location: CSU Stanislaus.
